Suitably qualified and experienced people are being sought by the Mining Competence Board, under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act 2013, to fill a host of positions on the examination panel.
The examination panel undertakes assessments of competence and makes recommendations to the board on the competence of a person applying for a certificate of competence to exercise a statutory function.
Vacant positions include:
- Convenor and examiner on the Mining Engineering Manager of underground coal mines examination panel
- Examiners on the Mechanical Engineer of coal mines examination panel (there are two positions available, one for underground coal mines and one for coal mines other than underground mines)
- Examiner on the Undermanager of underground coal mines examination panel
