Manufacturing Innovation Safety Breakfast to be held in Brisbane

Brisbane Technology ParkWorkplace Health and Safety Queensland are hosting a “Manufacturing – Innovation in Safety” breakfast seminar on 10 July 2014 in Brisbane.

This event will showcase practical innovations that Queensland manufacturing businesses have implemented that have led to:

  • improved productivity better workplace consultation reductions in injuries.

The seminar has been developed to provide business owners, senior management and safety professionals in the manufacturing industry with an opportunity to learn from the experience of other businesses and to discuss practical innovative solutions with health and safety benefits

The seminar will take place from 7.30 am – 10.00 am on Thursday 10 July at the Central Auditorium, Brisbane Technology Park,1 Clunies Ross Court (off Miles Platting Road), Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane.

Industry speakers at the event will discuss their experience in implementing change within their business to improve efficiency and safety. Highlights include:

  • Supply chain interaction: Hear from Toll and Qenos on how consultation and cooperation led to increased transport volumes while reducing risk.
  • The importance of leadership: Capral Aluminium discusses how it worked with staff to implement systems to reduce manual handling injuries.
