Resources Safety has launched a new video series to help supervisors and workers recognise workplace hazards that have injured or killed people in Western Australia’s resources industry.
The videos begin with Andrew Chaplyn stating, “Most safety videos explain to people how to do things – we’re going to explain why”
The first three videos have been grouped as a theme ‘Raising the Issue’ and focus on key areas of concern when rigging, dogging and lifting – centre of gravity, friction and tensile strength.
The videos have been developed by the WA Department of Mines and Petroleum and are available free to people in the resources industry for educational purposes.
