Perth man killed in workplace accident

A man has died in a workplace accident after allegedly being caught in a large industrial mixer in Perth.

The 58-year-old process worker’s arm had become trapped at the Klinger Australia manufacturing factory in Welshpool just before 10am on Tuesday, Worksafe said.

Emergency crews were called to the factory, but the man died at the scene.

Police said a report would be prepared for the state coroner.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death is underway.
