Public comment sought on noise control in mines guideline

WA’s Resources Safety is asking for industry feedback on a draft revised guideline on noise control in mining in Western Australia, especially from those responsible for the occupational health of workers.

The draft guidelines focus on how noise exposure is measured, including some of the more obvious sources and levels of noise in mines. It outlines the requirements for a written noise report and noise control plan. Included are recommended ways to control noise in the workplace and reduce exposure.
