Come and see our gallant Goldfields Emergency Response teams in action as they test their skills to the max at the CME 2019 Surface Mine Emergency Response Competition, Hannans North Tourist mine 25 and 26 May.
Watch them compete in a series of realistic emergency response scenarios designed to test, improve and compare their skills in a controlled environment.

CME is honoured to announce our guest speaker for the SMERC 2019 Competition. Craig Challen will be attending the competition at Hannans North Tourist Mine on Sunday 26 May and delivering a keynote speech at the Awards Presentation later that evening.
Mr Craig Challen is an Australian technical diver and cave explorer. He was the recipient of the Oztek 2009 Diver of the Year award for his services to caving and was a joint winner of 2019 Australian of the Year.
In 2018 Craig, along with his dive partner Richard Harris was involved in the cave rescue operation in Thailand to evacuate 12 children and an adult from the flooded Tham Luang Cave system.
