WA Government Reducing Approval Times: ALARP Forum

In February the Western Australian Government will host the Reducing Approval Times  forum, or the “as low as reasonably practicable” (ALARP) and “so far as is reasonably practicable” (SFAIRP) concept events.

The industry forums are aimed at promoting common understanding of the concepts, and will give the major hazard and petroleum facility operators an overview of the requirements to ensure all risks are directed toward being ALARP. It will also detail how to demonstrate and document the processes to the standards expected by the Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP)).

The forum will be help on February 17 and 18 from 8.00am to 1.30pm at the Ibis Style in Karratha, 35-45 Searipple Road. It is a free event, but pre-registration is required to reserve a place.
