Part of NRW Holdings recently secured an extension for its existing contract mining agreement at CS Energy’s Aberdare Colliery.
Subsidiary Golding Contractors will spend another four years supplying all major equipment, carrying out mine plan scope changes and other duties.
The deal will last until at least 30 June 2030 and is worth about $245 million. There is potential for a further two-year extension.
The contractor employs up to 100 people at the site, most of whom live locally in Chinchilla and southeast Queensland.
