Australian Institute of Health & Safety and Australasian Mine Safety Journal Announce Partnership

The Australian Institute of Health & Safety (AIHS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Australasian Mine Safety Journal (AMSJ), Australasia’s premier mine safety magazine and online website.

AMSJ Managing Director, Garth Wright, explained that AMSJ was drawn to the AIHS because of its leadership in the field of health and safety, and its commitment to joining together with other leaders working towards healthier, safer workplaces. “We have partnered with the AIHS because we support the AIHS’ critical role in promoting and developing professional standards and practices in workplace safety across Australia. We want to add value to their work to help the health and safety profession grow – and we share their energy and forward-thinking approach.”

AIHS CEO David Clarke welcomed the partnership today explaining “mining and resources are high-risk industries with substantial workforces of health and safety teams, all carrying out critical work. The Australasian Mine Safety Journal plays an important role in providing high-quality information to the health and safety profession within the industry. That’s an interest we share, so together we can be more effective in educating, informing and contributing to improving health and safety in this field.”

About the AIHS: with a more than 70-year history, the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (formerly the Safety Institute of Australia) is Australia’s national association for the health and safety profession, with a vision for safe and healthy people in productive workplaces and communities.

About the AMSJ: AMSJ is committed to the dissemination of safety-related news, product and services information across Australia’s burgeoning mining sector.
