Nominations are being sought from suitably qualified people to become independent members of the NSW Mining Competence Board. If you have expertise in the development of competence standards and competence assessment, NSW Trade and Investment would like to hear from you.
The Board provides advice to the Minister on the competence needed to perform health and safety related functions on mine sites by overseeing the development and maintenance of standards, undertaking of assessments, delivery of training and the establishment of working groups. The Board also makes recommendations to the Minister on the granting of certificates of competence.
