Full program released for NSW Mining Health and Safety Conference

The full program of the NSW Mining Health and Safety Conference, to be held 18-20 May at the Crowne Plaza  Hunter Valley, has been released for the first time

Keynote speakers include: globally renowned Peter Wilson and John JP Smith from Noetic Risk Solutions on lessons from disasters; Sidney Dekker, healthcare safety specialist and lecturer from Griffith University; Colin Edmonston from the Department of Transport and Main Roads in Queensland on improving road safety in mining.

Also speaking will be James Wood, an inspiring speaker who was injured on the job, on how the right choices can keep you safe at work; and communications experts from Cat+Dog will talks about the art of communicating safety.

An Innovation Awards dinner will also be held as part of the conference, to recognise new examples of leading edge health and safety practices being developed and implemented at NSW mines.
