MRS Services enters voluntary administration

MRS Services has entered voluntary administration

Bradd William Morelli, Sule Arnautovic and Trent Andrew Devine of specialist insolvency firm Jirsch Sutherland have been appointed as Voluntary Administrators of the MRS Services Group.

The appointment September 4, 2019, extends over the following companies:

  • Holdings (MRS) Pty Ltd
  • Bachmann Plant Hire Pty Ltd
  • MRS Services Group Pty Ltd
  • MRS Property No1 Pty Ltd
  • Management Resource Solutions Pty Ltd

MRS Services Group employs approximately 400 staff and is headquartered in Newcastle with operations in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSW and Ipswich, QLD. The MRS Services Group provides the following services to the mining industry:

  • Maintenance Support
  • Mining Support
  • Civil Support
  • Labour Support

The Voluntary Administrators have been appointed to manage and investigate the affairs of the MRS Services Group so that a Sale of the Business as a going concern and/or Deed of Company Arrangement (DoCA) can be explored.

It is the Voluntary Administrators’ current intention to continue trading on the Business of the Group during the Voluntary Administration period, which includes servicing its various customers and employing its current staff.

The Voluntary Administrators are hopeful that the Business will survive and continue post administration and are currently in the processing of contacting and meeting with all key customers and suppliers to ensure continuity of the Business.
