Recall of Clipsal 10mA socket outlets

Clipsal 10mA RCD

Schneider Electric is recalling a range of Clipsal 10mA residual current devices (RCDs).

The RCDs are likely installed in hospitals, aged care facilities and schools. They may also be in homes where the occupant has medical home care.

Review any of your work since 1 July 2017 that involved installing Clipsal 10mA socket outlets and service panel RCDs. Let the home or business owner know about the risk of electric shock and advise them to contact Clipsal to arrange rectification.

Stop using these products and if you see or work on one let the home or business owner know.

The devices were sold between 1 July 2017 and 15 October 2020 and include the following models of socket outlets and service panels:

  • ML2025RC10-WE, ML2025RC10-RD, ML2025RC10-DB
  • ML2025RC10C-BG
  • ML2031RC10-WE, ML2031RC10-RD, ML2031RC10-DB, ML2031RC10-BG
  • ML2031VRC10-WH, ML2031VRC10-RD, ML2031VRC10-DB, ML2031VRC10-BG
  • 2025RC10-DB, 2025RC10-RD, 2025RC10-WE
  • 2031RC10- WE, 2031RC10-RD
  • 2031VRC10-RD, 2031VRC10-WE
  • C2025RC10-BK, C2025RC10-RD, C2025RC10-WE
  • C2025RC10C-BG

The recall relates to models with a manufacturing date code between 1 July 2017 to 15 October 2020. The date code is found on the grid on the bottom side of the product after removing the detachable cover, see example below.
