“Safety Leadership in Lean Times” will be the theme of the 2015 Safety Conference being held in Mackay next week by the Resource Industry Network and Workplace Health & Safety Queensland.
In keeping with the theme, this year’s conference will focus on how resources companies can, “…continue to maintain safety standards throughout the economic cycle when a focus on productivity is paramount.”
BMA’s Asset President Lucas Dow along with Anglo Coal Project Director-Grosvenor, Jeff Cochrane, will be among the panelists.
Speakers will cover a range of relevant topics including safety leadership, culture change, and mental health in the workplace. There will be a Panel discussion featuring senior industry executives as well as breakout sessions where attendees can choose from a variety of topics of specific interest to them including Chain of Responsibility,Effective Inductions, Psychological injuries and Mental Health and many more.
