The 2013 Mining Industry Guide to Workplace Safety has just been released by The Australia Mines & Metals Association and the Minerals Industry Safetyand Health Centre in association with Pro-Visual Publishing.
The guide provides up-to-date safety information for workers and all persons within the mining industry. Distributed free of charge, this guide creates awareness of personal health and safety issues as well as workplace operational safety issues for all mining workers.
The guide also highlights key industry issues such as personal health and wellbeing, hazard identification and responsibilities of employers and employees alike. Fatigue and bullying and Harassment are prominent topics of this year’s guide.
Recipients of the guide are also provided with the opportunity to enter a competition in which the best entry wins $5,000.
