Two construction workers have been crushed to death by a falling concrete slab in Perth.
The incident occurred at a work site in East Perth just after 11.30am, according to Perth Now.
Emergency services attended the scene, and there were unconfirmed reports that a third worker had been taken to hospital with serious hand injuries.
Police said initial information received was that two people were trapped under a large piece of concrete.
Witnesses said the workers had lifted a slab up from the lighter side of a truck, which pushed the truck off balance. Two slabs fell flat on the ground and crushed the workers.
WorkSafe are on site to investigate the incident, as well as a WA Police chaplain offering support to workers.
