Information seminars being held for NSW open cut supervisor exams

NSW Mine Safety is holding a series of information seminars for anyone considering applying for a certificate of competence to be a supervisor at an open cut coal mine.

The information sessions being held for:

  • Examiner of an open cut mine Certificate of Competence
  • Manager of an open cut mine Certificates of Competence

Applications close on 4 April for the next written examinations to be held in August. The information sessions for candidates are open to anyone interested in learning more about the examination process including prospective candidates, mine operators and registered training organisations. The sessions will cover what is required to apply for a certificate of competence and the examination process.

Information sessions are being held on 14 March 2014;

To book your place at the above session, RSVP your signature block (name, position title, name of mine) and if you intend to sit the examination in August tocoalcompetence.board@trade.nsw.gov.au

Information session times will be allocated after RSVPs close.

A confirmation email from the Competencies Unit will be returned to you with the further venue details along with the times for the session.
