Perth based METS Company ProcessIQ and Perseus Mining awarded for excellence in collective problem solving and innovation in the METS Sector.
ProcessIQ and Perseus Mining were recognised for their successful collaboration in the Australian METS and mining industry last night when they were announced by Resources Minister Matt Canavan as the METS Ignited Collaboration award recipients for 2019.
The award celebrates collaborative partnerships between METS companies and mining firms who demonstrate a commitment to approaching industry or business opportunities collectively.
ProcessIQ, a metallurgy and process engineering business, partnered with two other METS companies – Orway Mineral Consultants and Mintek – to implement sensing, data acquisition and expert input improving grinding circuit operations for Perseus Mining, operators of the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana.
Together they implemented a cloud-based data collection and transmission platform, that enables the relevant data to be delivered to Australian offices and then processed using real-time data analytics.

This world-first solution guarantees remote mine sites are operating at their most productive levels and since implementation has significantly increased material distribution onsite.
As award recipients, ProcessIQ, Perseus Mining and partners have been recognised as technology leaders in Australia’s METS sector as well as market leaders in Australia’s globally recognised resources industry.
METS Ignited CEO, Adrian Beer, said: “It is vitally important to promote and celebrate collaboration in the METS sector because Australia’s competitive advantage in this space depends on our ability to work collectively and solve industry challenges.
“There were so many successful and innovative projects implemented in the industry over the last year and we’re focused on ensuring that the frequency of such projects continues to increase.”
Runner up consortia – Minnovare and Northern Star Resources; and Premron, ACARP and Kestrel Coal – were also celebrated for their technology-driven and innovative projects working to advance the METS sector.
