The Mine Electrical Safety Association Inc (MESA) has been operating in Queensland for more than 30 years with its sole purpose to improve electrical safety in the mining industry. A committed group of individuals have been working for some time to form the MESA organisation in Western Australia. We are pleased to announce that MESA WA is now incorporated as a not-for-profit organisation in WA.
Based on the needs of the Western Australia mine electrical safety community, the well-connected local MESA organising committee (with the support of MESA Inc and the Queensland Committee) is hosting the inaugural Mine Electrical Safety Conference Western Australia (MESC WA). This all-important conference is being held on Friday 1 November at the Mercure Perth.

MESA WA’s goal is to identify electrical safety challenges within the WA mining industry, to improve workplace safety and reduce harm. The inaugural MESC WA conference will bring together industry, suppliers and government departments, to identify electrical safety problems. There are strong benefits in those in the industry coming together to learn, network and share knowledge.
Just like Queensland’s Mine Electrical Safety Conference, the MESC WA will bring together industry, government departments, consultants, suppliers and key industry decision-makers within the electrical field. They will hear technical presentations by experts in their field – topics will be on all matters relating to electrical safety within the mining industry with a specific focus on the Western Australia industry.
We encourage you to join the mine electrical safety community and network in Western Australia.
