Safety Incident Alert: The NSW Resources Regulator is investigating an incident at Mr Arthur open-cut coal mine in the Hunter Valley.

At around 5pm on 22 October 2018 a grader made contact with a pipe, causing pressurised water and material to enter the cabin.

The grader operator suffered injuries and was treated by paramedics at the site before being transferred to a local hospital for further assessment.

Investigators from the Resources Regulator have been deployed to the site to investigate the safety incident.
