The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s Product Safety Australia has announced a recall of Performax F-250 & F-350 Trucks Years 2014-2016. The recall stems from premature failure of tie rod end due to dry steering.
Some of the Performax F250 and F350 vehicles may have be converted to mine specifications and potentially may be used in the Australian mining industry. Fleet managers are advised to check the list of affected VINs below to confirm if their vehicle may be affected.
The Regulator said in a statement released this week that “If the tie rod prematurely fails due to wear, it may become loose or the tie rod may break upon dry steering, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
According to records, only 148 vehicles were sold in Australia. You can check the VIN of affected vehicles here
