Recovery activity continues to be the focus at the Henty Gold Mine despite Pybar confirming conditions at the recovery site are ‘fragile.’
Pybar says that specialist personnel have assisted the site team, and formulated several concurrent plans for the recovery of Cameron and the loader. A range of specialist equipment required to assist in the recovery has either been mobilised to site already, is being transported, or is currently being manufactured Pybar’s local Tasmanian suppliers.
Underground activities to prepare the area for the Henty gold mine recovery operations are also on-going under the supervision and direction of the Tasmanian Coroner and regulatory bodies.
Ina statement released today Pybar Mining Services said “During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers remain strongly with the family of Cameron, and the entire community that has been affected by this devastating news.”
