A recall of disc brakes rotors has been issued by an Australian Distributor of aftermarket parts after it found that defects in manufacturing have resulted in the disc brake rotor hub to crack. The rotor hub is used on Isuzu D-Max and Colorado Light vehicles used on mining operations and was manufactured from 2011 – current.
The distributor confirmed today that the recall will affect a significant range of parts supplied.
It said today that “If the disc brake rotor hub cracks, the brakes may not function correctly or may fail, posing an accident and injury risk to the vehicle occupants and other roads users”
Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products, or vehicles that have been fitted with an affected product, and contact the place of purchase for instructions on obtaining a replacement or refund.
